Emerging Leaders Awards nomination form

Nominations for the 2026 Awards will close on Monday 2 February 2026 at 5pm.

The Award recognises emerging leaders with in the profession who have already made a notable contribution to the sector and have demonstrated the potential for leadership and continuing service in the eight (8) years since graduating.

Please provide the Awards Committee with: 

A 2-page (maximum) document outlining the below headings 

• Nominee's name 
• Duration of service to the AVA and the profession 
• Quality of service to the AVA and the Profession 
• Demonstrate initiative, by actively contributing to the profession in a meaningful and impactful way, and are contributing to a work/or voluntary environment that is respectful, collegiate and supportive, and be an excellent role model for other emerging professionals in the veterinary profession.
• Other competing personal activities that you carry out at the same time
