The AVA has received a great deal of interest in the AVA Chartered Veterinary Practitioner™ following its successful launch in October 2022.  Spaces in the 2023 program have filled quickly, with only two spots remaining.

"I couldn't be more thrilled with the response to the AVA Chartered Veterinary Practitioner™,” says A/Prof Natalie Courtman, heading the AVA CVP as the Academic Program Director.  “Applications started coming in the day we opened for admission.  I'm excited to see this world-first general practitioner accreditation program commence in Australia and for our veterinarians to be the first to benefit from the program which focuses on development of professional, leadership and wellbeing skills to support their important work and ultimately result in a satisfying and sustainable veterinary career."

“This exciting accreditation program for small animal veterinarians will enable both veterinary profession and public recognition of accreditation with post nominals.  The AVA Chartered Veterinary Practitioner™ will provide vets from anywhere in Australia with access to quality flexible online self-paced learning which is complemented with live interactive sessions each fortnight.  The education pathway and options to undertake additional CPD in an area that is of interest to vets is an excellent framework for taking that next step in their career and expanding their professional network.”

Annmaree Jackson, AVA CVP Program Manager outlined, “The AVA CVP is sufficiently flexible that vets can start planning their CPD for to seek recognition of this toward their accreditation if they are admitted to the AVA CVP program and I am happy to assist vets with the CPD criteria that will be eligible for credit and to assist them in planning their CPD to enable them to obtain AVA Chartered Veterinary Practitioner™ accreditation in as little as two years”.
