Congratulations to Cassie Paik – Wave Of Gratitude winner

The first Plenary speaker for the 2022 AVA Annual conference was Mark Mathews. Mark has made a career out of chasing down massive storm swells in a bid to ride the biggest waves that planet earth has to offer.

But his talk was about more than surfing. Mark talked about the way he feels when he achieves his massive feats – and how the fear doesn’t go away. Learning to manage fear was a big part of Mark’s talk – as was working with others who can make your dreams come true.

Mark also talked about gratitude and asked the conference delegates to send him messages of being grateful. Mark also offered a Wave Of Gratitude prize for one lucky delegate – and that delegate was Cassie Paik!
