Expressions of Interest: AVA Education Advisory Committee

The AVA is looking for members interested in joining the Education Advisory Committee (EAC).

This Committee is a skills-based committee of members and staff advising the Board on the AVA’s education priorities and facilitating the implementation of the continuing professional development (CPD) plan.

In 2023 the EAC undertook a review of all of AVA’s education offerings and developed the suite of AVA Event Policies (Scheduling, Pricing and Planning). These policies will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of AVA events and CPD program, and ensure that it remains aligned with member expectations.

Membership of the Committee:
We are looking to build a diverse and experienced team. In doing so, the Board will consider the following expertise and demographic considerations:

• Expertise in adult post-graduate education
• Expertise in online education delivery
• Expertise in the regulation and use of animals in teaching
• Demographic diversity (e.g., age, gender, career stage, employment status) including:          
  • A recent graduate or student member,
  • Representation from across the various groups (including Branch, Division and Special Interest Groups) in the AVA.

Expressions of Interest:
The AVA is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) to fill two (2) positions on the committee. EOI of up to 500 words are invited from Members outlining your interest in the Committee and the skills and experience you would bring to the role.
