NSW Equine Neurological Disease Investigation Workshops – Free for Veterinarians

NSW Department of Primary Industries will be hosting four workshops in March 2024 on neurological equine disease investigations, focusing on diseases of significance in NSW.
This free event for NSW veterinarians and paraveterinarians provides an opportunity to reconnect with veterinary colleagues and earn structured CPD points. For catering purposes, please register by March 7, 2024
The workshop will focus on:
- Clinical examination of neurological equids and differential diagnoses
- Process of notification - who to report to and when
- Descriptive analysis of submissions to NSW DPI
- Risk assessments of a neurological horse in the field
- Diagnostic sampling and interpreting lab results
Who should attend?
- Private veterinarians who see/treat horses in NSW
- Para-veterinarians who support horse health in NSW, including but not limited to:
- Vet nurses, Technical officers, Laboratory technicians and Pharmaceutical
- University Veterinary students
- TAFE Vet Nursing students
Workshop inclusions:
- 3 CPD points with a Certificate of Attendance
- A light dinner during the workshop
- A hard copy of the ‘Neurological diseases of significance in equids' glovebox guide
- The NSW DPI Emergency Animal Diseases information pack
Workshops will be held at:
- Singleton at Club Singleton, Tuesday 12 March, 6-9pm
- Coffs Harbour at Park Bowls Beach Club, Wednesday 13 March, 6-9pm
- Camden at Belgenny Farm, Monday 18 March, 6-9pm
- Wagga Wagga at Mercure, Tuesday 19 March, 6-9pm
