NSW Free Workplace Wellbeing Assessment Tool
17 Oct 2022The NSW Workplace Wellbeing Assessment is a free digital tool that surveys staff that using insights will provide information on how your business is performing in areas critical to workplace mental health, such as leadership and culture, and based on your results will provide recommended actions to improve your workplace wellbeing.
The Workplace Wellbeing Assessment Tool is for any organisation in NSW with six or more employees that is committee to improving how it promotes, manages, and supports mental health at work. Benefits of the Workplace Wellbeing Assessment Tool include:
- Get actions to help keep your workers safe and engaged
- Compare your business to others in your industry and NSW
- See how experiences vary across your teams, and
- Track changes in your workplace over time.
The survey takes about 10 minutes for workers and team leaders and about 20 minutes for business leaders. The Assessment has five sections. Sections 1 to 4 ask questions about the four focus areas that measure how a workplace promotes, manages and supports mental health at work. Section 5 asks respondents about their experiences with mental health in your workplace, such as whether they have taken time off due to feeling mentally unwell at work.
Your organisation will get a detailed report that:
- Scores your capability to promote, manage and support mental health at work; benchmarks your organisation against others in your industry and NSW; and gives you practical actions to improve your score. In the report your organisation will be rated across the four focus areas that measure how you promote, manage and support mental health at work:
- Lead change
- Create a positive culture and manage factors
- Raise awareness and education
- Connect to support
- Present respondents’ experiences with mental health in your workplace, such as whether they have taken time off due to feeling mentally unwell at work.
- Anonymously shows scores vary between your workers, team leaders and business leaders, as well as how your workplace compares to businesses of the same industry and size.
The tool was developed by Safework NSW to support NSW business, as part of the Mentally healthy workplaces strategy.
