NT Advocacy Report

The AVA's advocacy team is looking into the safety risks for veterinary staff  providing after-hours services. Please take the 3 minutes required to complete the survey to assist with this work. 

We are also progressing discussions with the NT Veterinary Board around how current legislation and other regulations impact on access to veterinary services when vets are unable to be in attendance at a practice due to staffing or geographical restrictions.

The availability of Vet Nurse Certificate Courses for NT based students is an ongoing piece of advocacy work that the NT Division committee are being supported with.
We are hopeful that courses will be made available in the near future, and we will continue to lobby for these to be provided with NT Government subsidy.
