Exciting biosecurity initiatives announced

Two Biosecurity Queensland initiatives were recently announced by Minister for Agricultural Industry Development and Fisheries and Minister for Rural Communities Mark Furner.

Queensland Biosecurity Strategy 2024–2029 The Queensland Biosecurity Strategy 2024–2029 has now been launched. In response to the increasing risk and changing nature of biosecurity globally, this strategy establishes a strategic framework for ongoing capability and capacity development in Queensland’s biosecurity prevention and preparedness. Queensland Biosecurity Mates Ambassador Program The Biosecurity Mates program supports a key goal of the Queensland Biosecurity Strategy 2024–2029 for ongoing capability and capacity development in prevention and preparedness across the Queensland biosecurity system.
