Assistance for the veterinary workforce in Tasmania

The Tasmanian Division of the Australian Veterinary Association has commended the Tasmanian Government on the scholarship initiative to boost the allied health workforce and requested that veterinarians be included in this investment.

Where One Health recognises the interdependency of humans, domestic and wild animals, plants, and the wider environment prioritised by the World Health Organisation and supported by the Australian Government, the disparity of investment in veterinarians and other health workers is creating great risk for both animal and human health.
