- THRIVE mental health support
2. 2022 Victorian Government Flood Recovery: general community

The AVA has been requesting from the Victorian Government additional assistance for veterinarians affected by the floods. Veterinary infrastructure has been impacted which provides communities with essential services for animal welfare in addition to the significant costs of pro-bono work in emergency and disaster response.
3. Community assistance
There are also two generous community organisations that have recognised the need and expense that veterinary hospitals incur at these times and have offered support of:
- pet food and crates
- financial support for equine emergency vet support such as euthanasia, rescue transportation and agistment
For information on the above offers, or if you are affected by the Victorian floods, please contact kristen.steele@ava.com.au as Kristen can assist you to determine what you may be eligible for, keep you updated if more assistance becomes available and collate the expense incurred by the veterinary profession.
