VIC DVM4 Graduation dinner

The DVM4 Graduation dinner in December was a glamorous affair. Thank you to Dr Cathy Deague for representing AVA Victorian Division through her address and presentation of prizes. It was wonderful to see the future of our profession enjoying the social event with their peers and staff, dressed up to the nines. The room was full of positivity and optimism, fuelled by relief at completion of the degree and anticipation of the future ahead. It was a wonderful opportunity to chat with students about their future jobs and feel their excitement as they transition from student to veterinarian.

AVA prizes were awarded for:

• The AVA (Victorian Division) Prize for the top Honours graduate: Martin Duckhorn
• The AVA Student Award Prize for a student considered to be a future leader in the veterinary profession and the Australian Veterinary Association: Aliisa Peura
• The ASAV Award for clinical proficiency: Martin Duckhorn

Congratulations to all of the DVM 4 students and the AVA wishes you the best of luck for your new careers and you may look forward to unwavering AVA support career long! Well done!
