VIC Meeting with the Hon Gayle Tierney, Minister for Agriculture

The Victorian Division of AVA met with the Hon Gayle Tierney, Minister for Agriculture to communicate the concerns for the veterinary profession, integral to veterinary shortage we are experiencing.

The AVA takes very seriously the requirement of society for the roles that registered veterinarians provide with their highly educated and regulated competency, crucial for safeguarding animal health and welfare and public health and well-being. Discussion occurred around the difficult lives of veterinarians, the work of veterinarians for public good such as wildlife and the desire of AVA work collaboratively with government for solutions.
