100 days to AVA Conference 2024!

The countdown has started! Our team is putting the finishing touches to an impressive conference program that offers something for everyone. From Tuesday 28 to Thursday 30 May, our 3-day conference program will feature 7 streams of exceptional, high-quality learning. In addition, you can add-on an extra day on Monday and select from either the THRIVE Symposium (expanded to a full day) or the Research Day, featuring 24 presentations from top researchers sharing their cutting-edge science. On Friday 31 May we wrap up the conference with our ever-popular workshops and tours.

Beyond the conference room

Equally important as the education on offer at AVA Conference is the opportunity to come together with your colleagues, reunite with old friends, or make new ones. Welcome Reception and Exhibition Opening. Simply the best way to kick-off your conference week. If you’re a newcomer to AVA Conference, this is the perfect place to immerse yourself in the conference atmosphere. Enjoy drinks, canapes and fabulous company as you wander around 100 trade exhibitors. This event is included in your 3-day registration ticket, or your Monday THRIVE Symposium or Research Day ticket.

AVA Awards Gala Dinner. For those that love dressing up for a night of dinner, dancing and entertainment, this is a ‘do-not-miss’ evening. Celebrate the achievements of our veterinarians and enjoy the camaraderie our profession is renowned for.

Breakfast sessions. Our hugely popular breakfast sessions are always the best way to start the day at AVA Conference. Good coffee, nourishing food and fantastic hosts ensure our breakfast sessions are in high demand, so book early.

University social events are a great opportunity for alumni to reconnect over a causal drink with university friends, or perhaps meet some new colleagues and broaden your network as you look back at your university days.

Group social events. Whether you’re attending EVA’s Equine and Dine cocktail party, VBG’s Beers, Bites & Business gathering, or the Muster and Mingle for ACV and SCGV members, all of our group social events promise a highly entertaining night of relaxed socialising with fellow interest group friends and colleagues. Get ready to venture outside the conference hall and experience some of Melbourne’s great venues!

Australian Veterinary Orchestra Charity Concert. Accompanied by Burnside Symphony Orchestra, the Australian Veterinary Orchestra will thoroughly entertain you with classical music. With all proceeds generously donated to the Australian Veterinary Benevolent Fund to help vets in crisis and their families, this is an event with heart.
