Submissions open for the AVA Annual Conference Poster Competition

The AVA’s annual “AVA Poster Competition” is returning for the first time since 2019 as part of the 2022 AVA Conference.

The conference, which is being held from 22nd to 27th May at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, will exhibit the latest cutting-edge veterinary research and scientific developments via a showcase of scientific posters.

This is an opportunity for veterinarians to gain recognition for their research or clinical work, and to build their professional profile.

The AVA invites members to submit posters with the following criteria:

• Posters must feature original research, clinical case reports, or a case series.
• Information featured must reflect cutting edge veterinary science or deliver advancement of knowledge within the veterinary field.
• At least one of the authors must be an AVA member.
• Posters that have been presented at other conferences (especially international conferences) within the previous three years are encouraged.

Prizes are as follows:

Best poster:

• First prize receives $600
• Second prize receives $250
• Third prize receives $150

Young researcher:

• One student, or graduate less than 3 years post-graduation, will receive $500
