50th ASAV Annual Conference: Early bird registrations now open!

Your membership is your ticket to save, with early bird registrations now open for the 50th ASAV Annual Conference, happening Monday 25 to Thursday 28 August 2025 at the Cairns Convention Centre. Located right in the heart of tropical Far North Queensland and the gateway to Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, it is set to be a truly special celebration.
Marking 5 decades of small animal excellence, education, and community, over 350 veterinary professionals are expected to gather for 4 days of world-class learning, hands-on workshops, and memorable social events.
To celebrate this milestone event, ASAV is teaming up with 3 other special interest groups:
- Australian Veterinary Dental Society (AVDS)
- Australian Veterinary Conservation Biology group (AVCB)
- Unusual Pet and Avian Veterinarians group (UPAV)
This collaboration brings together a diverse mix of topics and species, ensuring there’s something for everyone, whether it’s small animals, exotics, dentistry, or conservation.
The 2025 conference will focus on endocrine, immunity, and dermatology in the small animal stream, while AVDS, AVCB, and UPAV will deliver their own cutting-edge content. The program includes:
- Pre and Post Conference Masterclasses and Workshops
- Scientific Lectures
- Trade and Industry Exhibition
- Opportunities to earn up to 28 VetEd points
The conference also offers a wide selection of social events, with the Exhibition Welcome and Tuesday Happy Hour included for all registered delegates. Additional events include a unique land and water tour through the stunning Rainforestation Nature Park, Recent Grad Dinner, sunset dinners and the not-to-missed Awards Gala Dinner ‘Fur, Feathers, Fangs & Fins Fiesta!’ This is your chance to immerse yourself in 4 days of education, camaraderie, and fun.
