Advancing veterinary science at AVA’s inaugural Research Day
22 Feb 2024
The renewed focus on research for AVA Conference 2024 has led to the establishment of our inaugural AVA Conference Research Day. To be held on Monday 27 May before the conference sessions commence, the Research Day will celebrate Australia’s best and brightest veterinary researchers.
We’re collaborating with the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists for a fascinating day of cutting-edge research such as:
- Echocardiographic investigation of atrial fibrillation in Thoroughbred racehorses
- Endoscopic diagnosis of an obstructive fungal ball in the urethra of a dog
- Development of a model of Mycoplasma bovis mastitis in lactating ewes
- Improvements in Australian veterinarians’ use of antimicrobial prescribing resources
This is just a taste of the 24 presentations to be showcased in our program. Your Research Day ticket will also include entry to the Welcome Reception and Exhibition Opening on Monday evening.
From prevention, control, diagnosis and treatment to biology and welfare, veterinary research plays a crucial role in the health of our animal and human population, so please join us for what will be a captivating day of research and discussion as we work together to support and advance veterinary science.
