AVA Conference 2024 – speaker EOIs close 7 November 2023

Have you ever considered speaking at AVA Conference? We are now accepting speaker expressions of interest, with submissions due by Tuesday 7 November 2023.  

Our theme for next year is ‘Living Well: taking care of yourself and patients with chronic conditions’. As the AVA’s premier event, the conference will feature 7 streams covering small animals, large animals and wildlife as well as business, education, technical and personal growth topics.  

The scientific program will run from 28–30 May 2024 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, with the topic-based program focusing on improving the quality of life for animals with chronic conditions and enhancing veterinary practice to help veterinary professionals achieve longevity and satisfaction in their careers and life. 

As a speaker at AVA Conference, you will benefit by: 

• raising your profile within the veterinary profession/community 
• having a platform to share your expertise and educate and influence the profession 
• expanding your network and positioning yourself as an expert in the veterinary community 
• supporting your professional association to deliver a preeminent learning experience for the veterinary profession. 

A more accessible, sustainable conference in 2024 

We are also making some important changes to the 2024 AVA Conference.  

Next year, we will be transitioning to providing video proceedings for AVA Conference. The speakers will record their presentations in a webinar format that will be made available to delegates after the conference. This will allow conference attendees to review sessions they have watched live and view other sessions they may have missed. 

We have also taken steps to become more environmentally sustainable by reducing the amount of printed material we provide at conferences.
