Call for Research Abstracts: 2026 AVA Conference

The Australian Veterinary Association (AVA) Conference Program Committee is inviting veterinarians and researchers to submit abstracts for the Research stream at the 2026 AVA Conference, to be held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre from 18–21 May 2026.
Abstracts may present recent research, clinical projects, case series, or individual case reports covering any area of veterinary science. Selected research presentations will take place on Wednesday 20 May 2026, in collaboration with the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists.
Two $5,000 prizes will be awarded:
- One for AVA members with specialist qualifications or who hold higher degrees (Masters or PhD).
- One for AVA members who are interns, residents, or generalist clinicians.
The 2026 AVA Conference theme, “Connection, Collaboration, Knowledge,” will highlight advances in neurology, behaviour, and knowledge exchange. The program will feature a unique blend of international leaders in neuroscience and animal behaviour alongside Australian experts, creating an engaging environment for professional growth and veterinary innovation.
Veterinary professionals are encouraged to share their work with peers and contribute to advancing veterinary knowledge.
