Dr Alan Guilfoyle resigns from AVA Board

Over the weekend, Dr Alan Guilfoyle resigned as a Director of the AVA and stepped down from the Board for family reasons. The AVA Board has accepted Alan's resignation.

Alan has been an AVA member for 55 years and said, "It is with a heavy heart that I tender my resignation as a Director of the AVA, a position I have held for 4 years. I have enjoyed this role immensely and have been able to give back to my professional body, the AVA, of which I have proudly been a member since 1969. I extend my heartfelt thanks to all the past and present Directors who have shared this journey with me. It has been a profoundly enriching experience."

AVA President Dr Sally Colgan said, "As a steadfast advocate for the profession, Alan’s dedication and commitment to the AVA and our members is unwavering. We very much look forward to his continued support of the AVA.”

The AVA Board, staff and members acknowledge Alan's service and thank him for his friendship and dedication.
