Equine vets are invited to a free information session on Japanese encephalitis.

Get up to date information on the current situation in the Japanese encephalitis response effort. Come along to find out what you need to know, what you need to do, who you can reach out to and have your questions answered.
Hosted by Animal Health Australia, you will hear from:
1. Dr Peter Finnin, Assistant Secretary Animal Biosecurity Branch, Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment, speaking about the animal health response.
2. Professor Deborah Friedman, Deputy Chief Health Officer, Victorian Department of Health, speaking about the human health response and key messages for clinician and client protection.
3. Professor Kris Hughes, Clinical Director, Charles Sturt University, who will provide information about diagnosing and treating arboviral diseases in horses.
