Proposed amendments to the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) Terrestrial Code
01 Jun 2022Part B of the February 2022 Report of the WOAH Terrestrial Animal Health Standards (Code) Commission has been published. Texts for comment (Annexes 4-15) include draft chapters of the Terrestrial Code that have undergone several rounds of consultation, as well as new draft chapters for consideration.
Similar to Part A, the consultation process for Part B will be conducted via the Have Your Say (HYS) consultation website, which contains all relevant background documents and a submission option through which all comments can be provided.
To log on to the site you will need a Have Your Say account. Please register for an account, and contact us at OIEAustralia@awe.gov.au with your registration email to be granted access. If you had previously registered for Part A of the consultation, you may use the same link and login.

To assist you in contributing:
- A new consultation website has been launched. See details below and note the need to register.
- The Department will hold a webinar on 2nd June 2022, details are also available below.
Comments are due by COB 24th June 2022.
- Please use the template and format provided on the consultation website.
- Comments must be supported by a scientific rationale, or they will not be considered. Scientific references are encouraged where possible.

On Thursday 2nd June, a webinar will be held at 2:00 pm AEST to provide an overview of the commenting process and chapter changes. You will receive an email invite to this after registering.
