The Veterinary Practitioners Registration Board of Victoria (Vetboard) is keen to hear from currently registered veterinary practitioners and veterinary students on proposed changes to its regulatory fee structure (including fees payable to register or renew registration as a veterinary practitioner in Victoria).
It is proposed that the current regulatory fee structure for the Vetboard will be changed as follows:
- an increase of 15 % for most regulatory fees including fees payable for registration and renewal of registration
- the introduction of new fees to recover the cost of processing applications to vary registration conditions, convert non-practising registration to general registration (and vice versa), and for a refund of registration fees
- a reduction in the administration fee for non-practising veterinary practitioners to apply for general registration
- revocation of the Vetboard’s policy to waive general registration fees of “honorary” registrants who have practised for 50 years or more. While honorary registrants holding general registration will be required to pay full general registration fees, the fees of honorary registrants who hold non-practising registration will continue to be waived.
Current and future registrants can obtain information and also provide feedback on the proposed fee structure on the participate section on this page or via email (vetboard.vic.gov.au).
