Consultation for NSW Biosecurity Act 2015 statutory review

The Biosecurity Act 2015 (the Act) provides a framework for the prevention, elimination, and minimisation of biosecurity risks. The Act is administered by the Minister for Agriculture and Western New South Wales.

As part of the Statutory Review of the Biosecurity Act 2015, a Public Discussion paper has been developed by NSW Department of Primary Industries (NSW DPI). The Discussion Paper includes 18 questions to prompt consideration to ensure the Act continues to meet current and future biosecurity risks and challenges.

Feedback is being sought from AVA NSW Members to inform the AVA submission. Please review the Discussion Paper and provide comments to AVA Senior Advocacy Officer at liz.gemes@ava.com.au by 9.00am Monday 6th February 2023.
