Consultation on NSW Cattle Tick Program

The NSW Independent Biosecurity Commissioner Dr Katherine Clift has been requested by the Minister for Agriculture to provide advice on the State’s Cattle Tick Program. The Commissioner is seeking feedback from veterinarians on the Cattle Tick Program to inform advice to the NSW Government on opportunities to improve the approach for cattle tick management in NSW. 

Veterinarians are invited visit Cattle Tick Program | Have Your Say and provide feedback by completing a short survey or providing a submission.  

Veterinarians also have an opportunity to meet with the Commissioner and discuss the NSW Cattle Tick Program in person at public workshops on the Far North Coast: 

        - Murwillumbah – 11 November (9.30am to 12.00pm) - Register to attend here

        - Kyogle – 12 November (9.30am to 12.00pm) - Register to attend here  

        - Lismore – 13 November (9.30am to 12.00pm) - Register to attend here 

The Commissioner is also seeking expressions of interest for stakeholders to attend drop-in sessions with her to discuss their experience and perspectives on the NSW Cattle Tick Program. Should you wish to attend one of these sessions, please email biosecurity.commissioner@dpird.nsw.gov.au  with your preferred date and time for a 30-minute session as follows:

        - Murwillumbah – 11 November (between 1pm and 3.30pm)

        - Kyogle – 12 November (between 1pm and 3.30pm)  

        - Lismore – 13 November (between 1pm and 3.30pm)
