EOI open for AVA representative on National Industry Advisory Group for Veterinary Nursing
09 Jan 2025The AVA is inviting Expressions of Interest from members to fill a vacancy on the National Industry Advisory Group (NIAG).
NIAG is a peak industry advisory body for veterinary nursing. It is a joint body of the AVA and the Veterinary Nurses Council of Australia (VNCA).
Role of NIAG includes:
- To accurately represent the emerging profession of veterinary nursing
- To achieve, promote and maintain high standards of veterinary nursing training
- To ensure resources are allocated to the emerging profession of veterinary nursing
- To remain relevant and current
- To benefit the emerging profession of veterinary nursing as a whole
Details of the role:
- Term – 3 years (with the potential for reappointment for a second term)
- Meetings – NIAG meets at least 4 times per year. Meetings are generally via webconference, however there is one face to face meeting each year.
- This is one of four AVA representatives on NIAG
