28 Aug 2025Veterinarians who have a project or research idea that could contribute to the growing body of knowledge in the field are being encouraged to make a submisssion for the Integrative Veterinarians Australia (IVA) Research Bursary for 2025 - kindly sponsored by Canine Ceuticals.

The IVA is offering a $1000 bursary to support projects, research, and science-based communications related to integrative medicine. This bursary is designed to encourage innovation and research that helps inform the wider veterinary community about complementary therapies and their efficacy.
Key Details:
- Bursary Amount: $1,000
- Applications Close: Thursday, 30th October 2025, 5pm
- Eligibility: Open to all veterinary practitioners, researchers, and students at Australian universities—IVA and AVA membership is not required.
- Project Outcomes: Successful applicants will deliver research or a presentation as either,
- A poster for the 2026 AVA conference.
- A one-hour webinar in 2026 (or longer if desired).
- Any other innovative project meeting the bursary’s objectives.
- Application Requirements: Your application will be assessed by a panel from the IVA executive, based on:
- Aim of the research/project
- Methods of acquiring data/information
- Expected outcomes
- Practical application of integrative therapies
- All projects must align with the IVA’s Position Statement on complementary therapies. You can submit projects ranging from clinical applications and case studies to research and literature reviews.
- Submission & Timeline: Submit by 30 October 2025 via the online form on the AVA Website.
