Mental health in the workplace – we want to hear from you!
05 Sep 2024
Mental Health Month is recognised globally in October, and Thursday 10 October is World Mental Health Day.
In 2024, the global theme is ‘It is Time to Prioritise Mental Health in the Workplace’. In Australia, the theme will be ‘Let’s Talk About It’, which prompts us all to reflect on our mental health and overall wellbeing, irrespective of whether we’ve personally encountered mental illness. It emphasises the significance of maintaining good mental health in our daily lives and encourages a proactive approach to seeking help when necessary.
We want to hear from you!
To build on these themes and celebrate Mental Health Month, the AVA is encouraging members to share with us one thing (or more!) that your practice is doing to prioritise mental health in the workplace.
What is working for your team? How are you supporting each other? How do you promote work/life balance? What formal or informal approaches have you taken? Share your top tips with us – we’d love to hear from you.
By sharing with each other, we can highlight some of your great initiatives, share your ideas with our community, and learn from each other when it comes to prioritising mental health at work.
Share what you’re doing by sending an email to communications@ava.com.au (along with a photo of your team if you can) and we’ll share the responses throughout Mental Health Month in October in our newsletters and social media.
