New AVA ‘One Welfare’ policy

At their February meeting, the Board ratified a new policy entitled “Animal welfare and human wellbeing – vulnerability of clients and veterinary staff”.

This policy, together with the AVA’s policy on “Safeguarding and improving the mental health of the veterinary team” and “Great Veterinary Workplaces” (currently in development), will jointly provide a set of principles to underpin the AVA’s wellness strategy.
