Resignation of AVA Director

Dr Sally Colgan has resigned from the Board of the Australian Veterinary Association (AVA) after more than five years of valued contribution to the Association and the veterinary profession.

During her tenure, Dr Colgan served as President, Vice President, and Chair of Policy Advisory Council providing strong leadership and insight across a range of strategic initiatives. She was instrumental in progressing the AVA Transition Project, including the 2024 Stakeholder Survey, Strategic Plan 2025 – 2028, Constitutional Reform and the Membership Model Review — key elements supporting the organisation’s future direction.

The AVA Board thanks Dr Colgan for her outstanding service, commitment and professionalism, and extends its best wishes for her future endeavours.
