22 Mar 2024
A new-look, topic-based scientific program will be a highlight of the 2024 AVA Conference. The program, packed with over 120 sessions from world-class speakers across 3 days, features curated tracks that allow delegates to easily follow a particular area of interest.
Come join us in Melbourne - register before 15 April to take advantage of up to 25% off the standard registration price.
For small animal vets, Drs Sheilah Robertson and Heidi Lobprise will lead a team of expert speakers to deliver challenging and thought-provoking sessions. Dr Robertson is a global leader in advancing animal welfare and was the recent winner of the Animal Welfare category of the 2024 World Veterinary Association (WVA) Global Veterinary Awards.
And don’t miss the opportunity to join your small animal colleagues on Tuesday 28 May for the ever-popular ASAV Dinner and Trivia Night! Cargo Hall is a highly sought-after venue in Melbourne, with stunning river and skyline views, only a few minutes walk from the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
“We’ve compiled a great list of speakers, as well as some really engaging topics spanning all the different areas of veterinary medicine, so it should be a fantastic event. Once again, it’s always a great opportunity to reconnect and renew old friendships, as well as meet up with various members of our profession, starting from students and young members and recent graduates to veterinarians who are experienced clinical, non-clinical, large animal, mixed animal small animal practitioners,” said Dr David Lee, ASAV President.
The AVA Conference program will feature 38 tracks – some examples include:
- Aging in small animals
- Benefiting brachycephalics
- Cat chronicles
- End of life
- Senior small animals
- Drugs for the oldies
- And much more!
Selecting the track ‘Benefiting brachycephalics’, for example, offers the following sessions:
