THRIVE Cultivating Safe Teams pilot program reaches an important milestone

The Australian Veterinary Association is proud to announce that an important milestone has been reached in the THRIVE Cultivating Safe Teams pilot program, with the 50^th and final veterinary practice participating in the pilot; Riverland Veterinary Practice, Berri, SA.

Since the pilot program’s first session in September 2023 at Pet Behaviour Vet in Sydney, 50 workplaces from across Australia have participated. 

666 veterinary team members have received the 1-hour psychological health and safety awareness training face-to-face, 48 have received the training online and an incredible 330 veterinary team members have taken the pledge to cultivate a safe and mentally healthy workplace!

Aspect Group’s Carly Webster has been travelling the country to deliver the sessions, and says she is feeling a range of emotions since its completion.

“I’ve travelled equal to the circumference of the earth to every state and territory and many places I’d never heard of helping all types of veterinary workplaces be safe, great and mentally healthy, empowering them to take control of the day-to-day actions that make a workplace mentally healthy,” Carly wrote on LinkedIn.

“It has been absolutely huge, and something I feel really enriched by and will remember forever. I feel a little sad, massively accomplished, exhausted and extremely happy all at the same time.”
