14 Feb 2023Image (L - R): Presenters Dr Olivia (Liv) Oginska, Dr Paul Davey and Amanda Goodfellow
We are bringing together three remarkable thought leaders at our inaugural THRIVE Wellness Symposium, scheduled for 28 May 2023, just ahead of the AVA National Conference.
As with all our THRIVE activities, we are using a holistic framework to underpin our presentation deliverables: Preventing mental health injury from psychosocial hazards in the industry, Promoting the positive aspects of work as well as worker strengths and Protecting individuals who are experiencing mental ill-health so they can return to work and thrive.
Our presenters, Dr Liv Oginska, Dr Paul Davey, and Amanda Goodfellow will inspire and empower you, taking you on a wellness journey that will assist you to cultivate a thriving career.
Paul will detail his experiences, his failures, successes, and his aspirations for what the future could look like as we strive to improve the mental health and wellbeing of all members of the veterinary community.
Liv will unpack how to navigate difficult dialogues such as bad prognosis, negative feedback, and workplace incivility. She will introduce the topic of emotional intelligence, present its practical application in a veterinary setting and teach you how to use EQ to improve communication and create a healthy workplace culture.
Amanda will strengthen your wellness toolkit, sharing insights that will help you to notice and respond wisely to your triggers and to manage stress with skill and compassion.
Our THRIVE Wellness Symposium is also about community; re-establishing connections and giving you the permission to invest in yourself.
This event reinforces our commitment to support veterinarians and veterinary staff to lead satisfying, prosperous and healthy careers. We look forward to welcoming you.
