Transcervical Insemination (TCI) Workshop held at JCU Townsville
27 Sep 2024
15 veterinarians attended the Australian Reproduction Veterinarians Group (ARV) Transcervical Insemination (TCI) workshop on Saturday 31 August and provided overwhelmingly positive feedback, stating it was a valuable learning experience. The group have since stayed in contact, sharing support and resources.
Held at James Cook University (JCU) in Townsville, the workshop was made possible with the generous support of Minitube and Aust Vet, who provided all the necessary equipment for practical training sessions. Their contributions were instrumental to the success of the event.
Dr John Cavalieri, Dr John Watts, and Dr Scott Norman led the training with expert instruction and demonstrations, generously sharing their extensive knowledge with the participants.
The workshop received commendations from the attendees, highlighting both the quality of the training and the valuable contributions of the supporting companies.
The training is held to continue the support of vets learning TCI as per AVA's Surgical artificial insemination in dogs policy.
AVA will run another TCI course in 2025 based on EOI's. Please submit an expression of interest to arv@ava.com.au with your name and best contact details and the ARV Executive Officer will reach out with more information in 2025 . Please note the course is for veterinarians only.
