Topic Title: Morning Meds: A review of Psychopharmacology

Confused about psychopharmacologic medications? Haven't even heard of them? Not sure what you can safely give that aggressive dog so you can sedate it? The area of behavioural medicine is expanding and developing rapidly but few veterinarians are being introduced to this field and its medication at university. If you feel you are trying to catch up, you are not alone. We will discuss common medications used in behavioural medicines and what we expect them to do. We will also explore how to use combinations safely and effectively. Lastly, we will examine previsit anxiolytics and protocols that can be helpful in getting these frightened animals through your door.
