Great Place To Work®
Great Place To Work® and the AVA have partnered to support the veterinary profession to strengthen workplace culture and employee experience.
If your workplace previously participated in the AVA Employer of Choice® (EOC) program and accreditation, this partnership represents the next stage in that journey. Further information on this transition will be shared directly with current AVA Employer of Choice Accredited® practices.
Through this partnership, veterinary workplaces can access Great Place To Work’s employee survey and accreditation services at a reduced price. The survey has been enhanced with additional questions aligned to the AVA’s Great Veterinary Workplaces (GVW) guidelines to better reflect the realities of veterinary work.
This collaboration combines a globally trusted workplace culture measurement tool with the AVA’s evidence-based guidance on what great veterinary workplaces look like, helping workplaces benchmark their culture, understand team experience, and identify practical opportunities for improvement.
With veterinary workplaces facing ongoing pressures, this partnership aims to make workplace improvement more accessible, relevant, and affordable for the profession.

How Certification works (at a glance*)
Great Place To Work CertificationTM is a two-step process that includes surveying your employees (called the Trust IndexTM) and completing a short questionnaire (the Culture BriefTM) about the history and demographics of your workplace.
A workplace that has 10+ employees will be Great Place To Work Certified when their overall Trust Index score is 65% or higher, earning the practice the right to display the Great Place To Work Certified™ badge and AVA Employer of Choice Accredited® badge for 12 months.
