Syntocin Oxytocin - long term out of stock

Update 19 October 2023: The team at Troy have been working hard to bring supply back online. The current forecast is that Australian made supply will become available in the week commencing 13 November. If your clinic requires supply of Oxytocin prior to then, please contact your Troy account manager for a possible alternative. 

Troy advised customers yesterday that, due to the complexities in working with oxytocin, they are unfortunately expecting to be out of stock of their Syntocin injectable product for the foreseeable future. Troy are working to rectify the supply situation as quickly as possible and will advise customers when supply has been restored. An alternative, but not an equivalent, is the Symbion human pharma product  OXYTOCIN GH.  Please contact your Provet Account Manager for further details. Please note that it would be Special Order with no product returns.

EVA has enquired with a leading compounder about the supply of an alternative compounded product. Unfortunately, no supply is available in the short to medium term.

EVA advises members that when prescribing Oxytocin, please take full regard of this supply out of stock and the expensive alternative supply from human pharma.
