Save the dates: 2023 AVA Annual Conference to be held from 28 May until 2 June 2023 at Adelaide’s Convention Centre.

The AVA have more face-to-face conferences set for 2022 and beyond. Registrations are now open for events in June and July.

The theme for National Reconciliation Week 2022 is ‘Be Brave. Make Change’, challenging all Australians to tackle the unfinished business of reconciliation so we can  benefit of all Australians.

The AVA is currently developing its 2023 Advocacy Plan. We are seeking support from members to identify which issues are of the highest importance.

As part of the Australian Biosecurity Series, Dr Debbie Eagles, Dr Ed Annand and Dr Dan Edson will outline what governments and partner agencies are doing to protect our valuable equine industry from three emerging diseases, including African horse sickness (AHSV), Hendra virus variant (HeV g2) and Japanese encephalitis (JEV).

Updated: Communities across Australia’s north, as well as beef, water buffalo, and dairy cattle industries need to be aware of signs of the disease in their animals.
