Following the Jobs and Skills Summit held in September 2022, the Commonwealth Government is developing a White Paper on Employment. The AVA has made a formal submission to this discussing key issues related to the veterinary profession.
The AVA contributed to the consultation invited by the WA State Government for the draft Standards and Guidelines for the Health and Welfare of Horses in Western Australia.
The AVA acknowledges the thorough analysis that has gone into producing the draft Review of rabies virus risk in imported dogs, cats and canine semen from approved countries (the Report), which appears to draw reasonable conclusions.
The AVA thanks VSANZ for the opportunity to comment on this important issue. Our process to inform this submission involved asking members for feedback on the specific questions and using this alongside AVA knowledgebase and policies to develop the submission.
