NT Conference: 21-22 February 2026, Darwin NT

Registrations are now open for the Northern Territory AVA Conference, with 2 days of learning, networking, and wet season merriment in the Top End. Known for its vibrant atmosphere and strong program, the 2026 conference will feature expert-led sessions on soft tissue surgery, renal and immune health, and practical strategies for patient and client care. 

Two standout speakers will headline the event: 

  • Dr Tania Gover, a business consultant with more than 20 years in the veterinary industry, will share her insights on business financials, workflow efficiency, and leadership. 
  • Dr Andrew Marchevsky, renowned for his surgical prowess and communication philosophy, will discuss his experience treating complex liver and adrenal cases and the importance of client engagement in surgical success.

Australian Cattle Veterinarians Conference: 23-25 March 2026, Brisbane QLD 

The annual Cattle Vets Conference returns in March to Brisbane’s iconic Ekka Showgrounds. This year’s focus on bovine reproduction and herd health management promises a program rich with cutting-edge science and real-world applications. 

In partnership with the Australian Reproductive Veterinarians (ARV) and Australian Veterinarians in Public Health (AVPH), the event is expected to bring together over 150 professionals for an intensive 3 days of knowledge-sharing, innovation, and networking. More than a conference, this is a strategic investment in sustaining healthy herds and profitable farms.

AVA Conference: 18- 21 May 2026, Brisbane QLD 

Mark your calendars for the biggest event of the year - the 2026 AVA Conference! With a refreshed structure featuring more content streams, extended breaks for peer connection, and the THRIVE Veterinary Wellness sessions and Research Day integrated into the main program, this event continues to evolve to meet veterinarians’ needs. 

Delegates can look forward to over 40 sessions daily and an inspiring lineup of international keynote speakers, including: 

  • Prof Marion Desmarchelier – double-boarded specialist in zoological medicine and behaviour medicine
  • Prof Joe Mayhew – eminent equine clinician and expert in large animal neurology and comparative neuropathology 
  • Prof Holger Volk – small animal neurologist renowned for his prolific work in the field of epilepsy
  • Prof David Hayman – internationally recognised epidemiologist and disease ecologist

Bain Fallon Memorial Lectures: 19-23 July 2026, Melbourne VIC  

The Bain Fallon Memorial Lectures, the Southern Hemisphere’s largest equine continuing education event, returns to Melbourne in July. Attracting more than 270 delegates annually, this iconic gathering offers a rich mix of scientific updates, practical workshops, and social networking for veterinarians working across all facets of equine medicine.

ASAV Conference: 17-20 August 2026, Sunshine Coast, QLD 

Closing winter on a high note (and in the warmth), the ASAV Conference, held in collaboration with the Veterinary Business Group (VBG), brings together small animal practitioners for 4 days of forward-thinking sessions on the Sunshine Coast. 

The 2026 theme, The Joys of General Practice, will spotlight real-world cases on anaesthesia, euthanasia, and chronic illness management. Meanwhile, the VBG stream delivers business-minded sessions on leadership and growth – ensuring attendees leave with both clinical and commercial inspiration.
