From 1 July 2026, veterinary practice in South Australia enters a new regulatory environment. For the first time, all veterinary premises must be registered, assessed against prescribed minimum standards, and subject to ongoing compliance oversight under the Veterinary Services Act 2023.
We are pleased to announce the 2026 South Australia Division Committee, who will continue championing the interests of veterinarians across the state.
The AVA has released its Election Priorities for the 2026 SA State Election.
With the release of the South Australian Parliamentary Report on the Mental Health and Wellbeing of Veterinarians (Feb 2026), our profession has been given a rare and powerful opportunity: a comprehensive report with many recommendations that directly aligns with the AVA’s long-standing advocacy priorities.
