The Australian Chief Veterinary Officer (ACVO) provides an update on antimicrobial resistance, regional biosecurity partnerships, and announces, for the first time, a new co-chair of the ACVO. 
Veterinarians that may be eligible for government funded vaccines include those who have the potential to be deployed to areas of high JEV concern for prolonged outdoor work.
Thursday’s meeting with the Minister covered critical issues affecting veterinarians and animal health services across the state, with the Minister acknowledging the contribution of North Queensland veterinarians in flood response and recovery efforts.
