The ACT Government have opened a call for expressions of interest for positions on the ACT Veterinary Practitioners Board.

The AVA has provided a submission to the Review of Veterinary Practice in the ACT raising several concerns for the ACT Government consideration.

In April, the ACT Division Committee met with the ACT Chief Pharmacist, ACT Chief Veterinary Officer, and the ACT Veterinary Practitioners Board.

We would like to thank Michael Hayward for his splendid presidentship for the past 3 years. The ACT division is lucky to have his calm influence, expertise and dedication to the AVA in our ranks. In May 2024, Anna Julia Gabrielson will be attending the Councils of Presidents meetings on behalf of the Division.

I am stepping down from the privilege of leading the Division committee after three years, and want to express my gratitude for the knowledge, skills, effort and friendship of all those who have served on the Division Committee over the last 8 years since I rejoined the committee, and especially the last three years.
