Although the AVA is supportive of mechanisms to provide no-or low-cost animal health services to increase public compliance, the Victorian Division of AVA believes the burden of discounted services the context of current and emerging financial, workforce and mental health challenges of the veterinary profession needs to be more equitably shared across the community: to balance the substantial benefits that individuals and the community receive from healthy pets in most Australian homes.
To inform and answer the questions from the veterinary profession, a collaborative webinar discussed the changes occurring to veterinary education in Victoria.
