DAFF are reviewing Australia’s import policy for veterinary immunobiologicals (including vaccines). The AVI (Industry) Special Interest Group is the lead group for this submission. They have some questions for the wider profession to help inform the submission.
The Australian consultation on draft standards from the WOAH Terrestrial Code will open on Friday 19 April 2024.
The City of Hobart is currently seeking community feedback to prepare a new Dog Management Policy.  The AVA are invited to share our profession's knowledge about responsible dog ownership, and how the policy should be implemented.
The Australian Government committed $5 million over 4 years to the development of the renewed AAWS, with the objective of providing a framework for a national approach to animal welfare in Australia.
The Australian Veterinary Association (AVA) is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from its Membership to assemble a panel of recommended nominees for the NSW Veterinary Practitioners Board Member positions for the categories of Urban, Rural, and Specialist Veterinarians.
“Dangerous dogs – a sensible solution” is a resource that was developed in 2012 to discuss and suggest a legislative approach to address dogs that are dangerous to humans. As it is now over 10 years since the resource has been developed a review and update is required.
Victorians now have until Monday 25 March to have their say.
