The NSW Chief Veterinary Office is hosting a webinar on Japanese encephalitis for private veterinary practitioners in NSW on Wednesday 14th December from 7pm.

Information about NSW flood response activities, support available, how to provide support, links to resources for treating flood impacted animals, and a point of contact AVA Liaison Officer if you have any flood concerns or seeking support.

The AVA provided a submission on the Draft Report: Rehoming Companion Animals in NSW as part of the Rehoming Practices Review. Veterinary practices are often the entry point for strays in the rehoming process and should be considered as part of the NSW Rehoming Practices Review.

From the 1st November 2022, the supply of plastic single use cotton buds and bowls is banned in NSW. Exemptions apply for scientific and medical purposes including veterinary medicine or at veterinary practices.
