The AVA has provided a submission to the NSW Inquiry into the operation of the approved charitable organisations under the POCTA Act.
NSW Department of Primary Industries will be hosting four workshops on neurological equine disease investigations, focusing on diseases of significance. This free event for NSW veterinarians and paraveterinarians provides an opportunity to reconnect with veterinary colleagues and earn structured CPD points.
The AVA provided a submission to the Senate Select Committee on Australia’s Disaster Resilience. The AVA submission advocates for veterinary services to disaster impacted animals be included in the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements, for increased public awareness for animal disaster preparedness, and incorporating animal impacts into disaster reporting data.

Over the years we have benefitted a great deal from having a diverse mix of experience on our committees, so whether you are a government vet, private practitioner, or work in industry or research your contributions are going to help shape the vet profession in NSW.
This month NSW Division held our annual face-to-face committee meeting at the AVA offices at St Leonards. We have continued our advocacy this month on pounds, and we need your input to protect our ability to prescribe drugs to our patients in NSW.
